Ruy Ohtake's intervention in the area of the old Matarazzo Industries is a gesture of urban dimensions. The rotating mirrored structure, whose base measures 33 feet, brings the buildings and the surrounding movement and, at the same time, reflects the old construction for those who pass by the avenue. Re-connecting that now isolated area to the city, articulating all these elements in an enlarged field. The inflatable tubes _ that should link the base to one of the chimneys _ rise parallel, forming a porch that indicates the beginning of the intervention area. Those elements refer to the constituent devices of this urban area _ the avenue, the tract close to the marginal avenue _ an extension that hinders an ample visual seizing. An installation that enhances the urban scale of Arte/Cidade.
