O CLAMOR - Comitê pelos Direitos Humanos no Cone Sul atuou com sede em São Paulo entre os anos de 1978 e 1991, e é reconhecido como uma das mais importantes entidades de solidariedade com refugiados, presos e perseguidos políticos das ditaduras do Cone Sul, e de informação e denúncia sobre os crimes contra os direitos humanos cometidos por essas ditaduras. CLAMOR – Headquartered in São Paulo, the Committee in Defense of Human Rights in the Southern Cone operated between 1978 and 1991 and it is acknowledged as one of the most important solidarity entities in defense of the refugees, the persecuted and political prisioners from the Sothern Cone dictatorships. It is also an entity providing information and reporting crimes against human rights committed during those dictatorships. Running counter to the known CONDOR Operation in Brazil and Latin America, the Committee has effectively assisted the refugees from Argentina, Chile, Paraguay and Uruguay in Brazil.
