Zone
The process of deactivation and sub-use of the area, followed of the periferization of the space at the margin of the expressways, constitutes the zone. A dynamics that produces permanent entropic proliferation, the accumulation of abandoned buildings, empty plants and demolitions converted into parking lots. They are spaces that wait, as the industrial sheds transformed into deposits. Interstitial spaces, practically imperceptible, hidden between the built. Everything is still built, the emptiness is not immediately visible.
These empty terrains are negative spaces that can be extended indefinitely by the contamination of the neighbors. A continuous growth of the undifferentiated. Indicative of low real estate activity, they are reserved for future use. Unusable interstitial spaces that only become perceivable when reaching the critical point, the amplitude of all the area, making impracticable its reinsertion in commercial circulation.
Here the interval takes everything, in a widespread movement of occupation of the space. It is as if the freezing of the space under this entropic rigidity blocked all possibility of any clear configuration. The city tries to fight the entropic proliferation, at the same time that produces it.
