The second critical situation in Belo Horizonte _ as appears in the bordering area with Sabará _ is related to the city crossing by railroads with intense load traffic. The old branches tracing, with many curves, forces a speed reduction of the trains and has stretches where the domain band is taken by irregular housing. Repeated accidents, with derail of the compositions, occur in these points.

Here the relationship between local and global is explicit, with all its contradictions. FCA, an important corridor for ore and soy exportation, binds the Middlewest region with the ports of Sepetiba (RJ) and Santos (SP). But, in this stretch, the railroad crosses an area of the city periphery, densely occupied.

The local situation _ the periphery neighborhood and its community life _ is in conflict with the large-scale logistic device. New railroad variants are being projected, to eliminate these exportation corridors nodes. They will displace the branches away from the urban centers, leading to a large territorial restructuring of the cities.
